My Activities

This week we carried on with our ‘insect’ topic for reading, writing. For maths we practised basic facts and worked on writing a variety of equations which would have a certain number for the answer. Matariki Movie

Stella, Laylah, Phoebe, Maia, Sienna M, Cheyne and I made a movie about Matariki and how they were a singe for the maori new year.

Te Rehutai

 This week we were excited to be learning a bit about Te Rehutai, the Team New Zealand AC 75 that has been sailing in the Waitemata Harbour.  Here is my information.

Favourite sport

My group read a book called sports Dad and the activity was describe how you play the game and who supports you on the sideline the most.

Matariki Reading

For the last 2 weeks we have been learning about Matariki. I made a DLO to show what I have learnt about Matariki.

This week we have been doing lots of learning about Matariki. 

We read different legends about the Matariki Stars. We had to use a Venn Diagram to compare two legends we chose.

The sun

From Reading we have been learning about the sun.

The Sun

For reading we have been learning about the sun and how it can be used. The sun's energy can be turned into electricity.

We also made a solar helicopter. We are waiting for a sunny day to trial it.

ANZAC Poem

This week we have been doing work on ANZAC. We listened to a poem called ANZAC Poem then we had to create the picture to go with it. Here is my picture.

For reading this week we read a story about Penguins. We have created a google slide of what we have learnt.
